Hip-hop has always had an adored relationship with the legend.
Kobe Bryant's impact on hip-hop has been etched into plenty of our favorite songs. Throughout the years, artists from Nicki Minaj to Russ to Lil Wayne have name-dropped the legend, seemingly giving him the flowers he deserved. In an infographic provided by the lyric licensing company LyricFind, we see just how much hip-hop and beyond appreciated the legend.

If James Brown is the most sampled artist in hip-hop, Bryant has to be one of the most mentioned athletes. Across records from Nav, Rapsody, Kendrick Lamar, Tyga and so many more, Bryant has been mentioned over 500 times in music with 90 percent of the songs stemming from hip-hop tracks. Some more mentions come from J. Cole's debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story, several tracks from Kendrick Lamar which include "Untitled 02" and "The Heart Part. 2" and Drake's Views and More Life albums.

Rapsody's early work also paid homage to Bryant like her Black Mamba EP. The project included the 2012 jam, "Shining Moment" where she said, "I am rap n***a, n*** strung out just like acoustic/Flow translucent acting like they don't see me/Playing like they don't, passing over CP3, Kobe 24 s**t, here's another repeat."

Bryant also dropped bars of his own at the top of 2000 under Sony Records to release his only solo album, K.O.B.E. He was an early VIBE Next artist thanks to his single of the same name that featured Tyra Banks. He also dropped a verse on Destiny Child's remix of "Say My Name."
