Lyrics-licensing company LyricFind announced its LyricMerch product back in November 2017: a site where people could order physical merchandise emblazoned with lyrics from its catalogue – with publishers (and thus songwriters) earning royalties. Now LyricMerch is getting an interesting distribution partner: eBay, which will be a new shop-window for LyricMerch, as well as a place for “targeted merchandise campaigns”.
The first of those is live already: a LyricMerch Gift Guide for Christmas 2019. Excellent timing for all your coffee-mug, tank-top, blanket and/or hoodie needs for songs including ‘thank u, next’, ‘Space Oddity’, ‘Highway to Hell’, ‘God’s Plan’ and ‘Bad and Boujee’.
“Having our products available on eBay for its global shoppers allows us to lean into a marketplace that already caters to our target audiences, making this a natural partnership,” said LyricFind CEO Darryl Ballantyne.
