Reaction to the passing of Monkees keyboardist/bassist Peter Tork on Feb. 21 sends multiple songs by the band onto Billboard's LyricFind Global and LyricFind U.S. charts, led by the No. 7 debut of "Daydream Believer" on the former list dated March 2.

The LyricFind Global and LyricFind U.S. charts rank the fastest momentum-gaining tracks in lyric-search queries globally and in the U.S., respectively, provided by LyricFind. The Global chart includes queries from all countries except the U.S. The company is the world's leader in licensed lyrics, with data provided by more than 5,000 publishers and utilized by more than 100 services, including Amazon, Pandora, Deezer, Microsoft, SoundHound and iHeartRadio. The latest tracking week ended Feb. 24.

"Daydream Believer" is one of five Monkees songs to make the 25-position LyricFind Global tally. It's joined by "Shades of Gray" (No. 13), "Pleasant Valley Sunday" (No. 16), "Porpoise Song" (No. 22) and "I'm a Believer" (No. 24).

According to LyricFind, "Daydream Believer" scored a 640 percent in global lyric views, while "Shades of Gray" surged 1,873 percent.

In terms of U.S.-only data, five songs by The Monkees also appear on the LyricFind U.S. chart (likewise 25 spots deep), led by "Last Train to Clarksville" at No. 9. It's followed by "Daydream Believer" at No. 11, "Shades of Gray" (No. 16), "Pleasant Valley Sunday" (No. 19) and "I'm a Believer" (No. 23).

Other gains for The Monkees' catalog in sales and streams are likely to show on the March 9-dated Billboard charts (to update on Billboard's platforms March 5) following a full week of tracking after Tork's death.

Tork died from complications of cancer in Mansfield, Conn. He departed the group in 1968 but returned to the lineup on and off multiple times, most recently performing with the band last year on its Christmas Party album.
