M&M's, Hershey's Among Most-Mentioned Candies in Music Lyrics

The list, provided by LyricFind, found that M&M's pop up in over 100 different songs.
Apparently, Migos were on to something when they named a song from their 2014 mixtape No Label 2 after the classic Mars candy M&M's.

Just in time for Halloween and the trick-or-treating season, a new report from licensed lyrics services provider LyricFind says M&M's are the most-mentioned candy in music lyrics, edging out confectionary heavy-hitters such as Skittles, Hershey's and more.

LyricFind found that, in searching its database of music lyrics, M&M's were mentioned 122 times. Of course, that doesn't mean the candy was specifically being referenced here; for instance, Migos' eponymous tune is talking about M16 guns, while Travis Scott's "Butterfly Effect," which also prominently mentions the candy in its chorus, uses the name as slang for MDMA.

However, other songs LyricFind mentions that includes lyrics about M&M's do actually talk about the literal candy, such as Chance the Rapper's "Brain Cells" and Aqua's "Back to the 80's."

Meanwhile, Skittles comes in second, according to LyricFind, with 100 mentions of the chewy candy -- Tyler, the Creator's "Cowboy" and Elvis Costello's "Episode of Blonde" among them. Hershey's claims third (92 mentions); perhaps you remember the chocolate's mention in Drake's "Weston Road Flows" or Sonny & Cher's "Monday."
