The April 20 death of Avicii sparks multiple entries by the DJ on LyricFind’s U.S. and Global charts dated April 28, led by “Wake Me Up!,” which enters at No. 1 on both tallies.

The LyricFind Global and LyricFind U.S. charts rank the fastest momentum-gaining tracks in lyric-search queries globally and in the U.S., respectively, provided by LyricFind. The Global chart includes queries from all countries except the U.S. The company is the world's leader in licensed lyrics, with data provided by more than 4,000 publishers and utilized by more than 100 services, including Amazon, Pandora, Deezer, Microsoft, Yahoo, SoundHound and iHeartRadio. The charts’ latest tracking week ended April 22.

Avicii had appeared on both charts a few times previously, including one week at No. 1 on the Sept. 2, 2017-dated LyricFind Global list with “Friend of Mine,” featuring Vargas and Lagola.

However, his presence on both April 28-dated charts is another animal entirely. LyricFind U.S. features 10 songs by Avicii, while LyricFind Global includes 13; both are 25-position rankings.

In particular, global lyric searches of “Wake” spiked 3,092 percent following Avicii’s death, according to LyricFind. And even that number was eclipsed by fellow True album track and single “Hey Brother,” which enters at No. 2 on U.S. and No. 3 on Global; it jumped 5,965 percent in searches.

“Wake” was Avicii’s biggest hit on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 4 on the Oct. 5, 2013-dated tally after becoming a crossover hit at multiple radio formats. Meanwhile, “Brother” peaked at No. 16 the following April.

Other major jumps include “The Days” (up 2,856 percent; No. 8 on both) and “Silhouettes” (plus 1,212 percent; Nos. 4 and 5 on U.S. and Global, respectively).

The DJ died April 20 in Muscat, Oman, at age 28.
